For those of you who may have missed it, I learned of Chuck Wendig’s “Mystery Box” sometime in late 2016, and instantly turned Nexus green with envy. It didn’t occur to me that I might ever have one of my own, at least not any time soon. It seemed like such a BIG. THING. and I felt like such a little writer.
I have no memory of the specific moment when I suddenly started to consider the shed very seriously. All I remember is mentioning it to a family member and suddenly this was A Thing That Was Being Discussed instead of (a thing inside my mind).
Whatever happened it was late November when I placed a deposit on a shed for Spring delivery.
Spring Is Here!
March 22, right on time, I got a call from the shed builders asking how our site prep was coming.
Unfortunately we were still waiting for the snow from three consecutive Nor’easters to melt and let us dismantle and dig out the old garden which would become the footprint of the shed.
Here’s the gallery of progress for the work so far. Beneath that, if you’re into my commentary, is the YouTube video where I discuss it all in stages.
