Phew. I’m glad I have until March 15 to sort out my Hugo nominations ballot. Between being sick pretty much since New Years Day and trying to focus on a whole bunch of tasks I’m now behind on, I can’t even wrap my head around the ballot yet.
But here are the books I managed to read in 2018, according to Goodreads (not all are eligible for awards, based on genre or release date). I think some must be missing, or maybe I just am recalling ones I finished before the new year.
I meant to read way more than this. I blame podcasts. I’ve really got to cut my podcast subscriptions and make time for audiobooks. As I worked in the shed, I listened to Amberlough and The Poppy War, but I always got anxious if I had podcasts in the queue and would let those get in the way of listening to more.
On the way to and from writing conventions, I listened to The Fifth Season, All Systems Red (which I want to revisit before I continue the series), Ghost Talkers, Jade City, The Tensorate Series, and A Conspiracy of Truths. The rest were all read in digital or print.
